The cornerstone of what is now know as the Aktiv Group was laid in 1980 with the foundation of Aktiv Assekuranz Makler GmbH in Munich. From the outset, Aktiv Assekuranz Makler GmbH specialised in the area of transport and logistics.
When the two co-founders retired, Jürgen Bochanski acquired their shares and has been the sole shareholder in the company ever since.
Due to the high concentration of insurance broker operating in this market, one of the company’s priorities was to establish a national presence. This objective has become a reality since 1986 with the foundation of other branches in Duisburg, Frankfurt, Saarbrücken, Erfurt and Heilbronn.
Now that the company is a major national player, Aktiv Assekuranz Makler GmbH is increasingly becoming a competent partner for business operating at an international level. The company has developed in the international market since 1989 with the opening of additional branches in Luxembourg, Spain, the Czech Republic, Argentina and the U.S.A.
Aktiv’s purchase of the major shares of the Malaysian insurance broker TGC Asia Sdn. Bhd. Marks a groundbreaking step in the internationalisation of its business as well as the new branches in Thailand and China since 2006. TGC Asia Sdn. Bhd. will be taking care of the Asian Market.
Since its foundation, the Aktiv Group has become one of the 10 leading insurance brokers in Germany.
