Transport Insurance (Marine Cargo Insurance)

A Marine Cargo Transport Insurance covers goods against all kinds of dangers, which might occur during transport or transport related intermediate storage. This insurance product automatically includes an “all-risk-insurance” covering claims irrespective of the liability of the carrier.
Usually, the shipper buys insurance coverage for the transport of his goods from an insurance broker authorized by an inserer – e.g. Aktiv Assekuranz – and in this special case our so-called Transport-General Policy.
Another possibiltiy to obtain coverage for ones goods during transport is to instruct the forwarding agent, who receives order to arrange transportation of said goods, to buy insurance protection. For these cases, we offer insurance coverage via our TVSplus – Transport Insurance Certificate.
Since August 2006 we offer our customers the possibility to declare transports and print insurance certificates via our internet port www.aktiv-cargoinsurance.de at any time of the day – or night, for that matter!
