Insolvency Proceedings Policy as an independent insurance policy available.

Aktiv Assekuranz Makler GmbH, your insurance broker for the transport and logistics industry, extends its product range: the Aktiv Insolvency Proceedings Policy (Aktiv Insolvenzanfechtungs-Versicherung AIV) is something of a novelty on the German insurance market.

It is market standard that an insolvency proceedings insurance can only be included in the commercial credit insurance as an additional module. Plus, market standard allows to cover only for challenges that are registered as claims under the commercial credit policy. Whereas the Aktiv Insolvency Proceedings Policy is a sole policy that provides coverage for any challenges independent from a commercial credit insurance and the registration of claims hereto.

Peter Skalicky, member of the management board and head of property insurance at Aktiv Assekuranz Makler GmbH: "Our Insolvency Proceedings Policy has been specifically developed for insolvency claims. A commercial credit insurance is not required. That means that our customers only pay for the coverage they really need".

The background to this policy is: in the course of insolvency procedures, insolvency administrators often approach former business partners of the insolvent company. Even the granting of instalment payments on services and deliveries may result in the insolvency administrator's allegation that the business partner was aware of the insolvency and wilfully disadvantaged other creditors.

By applicable law (and the insolvency regulation in particular) these facts establish a legitimate action and the application of a so-called "avoidance due to wilful discrimination of creditors" (insolvency regulation section 133 (1)).

With its Aktiv Insolvency Proceedings Policy, Aktiv Assekuranz offers an individual insurance solution that will cover (up to the stipulated sum insured) for any payments resulting from claims that have been finally determined by court order - provided that the corresponding invoice has been issued in Germany for a business partner within the EU. The Aktiv Insolvency Proceedings Policy also includes the service of specialized lawyers for the rejection of unjustified claims.

Lawyer Philipp Stein becomes new head of the legal department of Aktiv Assekuranz Makler GmbH.

As of 01 March 2015 Philipp Stein (age 38) joins the Munich head office of Aktiv Assekuranz Makler GmbH as new head of the legal department. Prior to his new position at Aktiv Assekuranz, he was head of law & insurance at IDS Logistik GmbH for 7 years.

"We are delighted to have gained such an expert for our company" says Volker Jendricke, Managing Director of Aktiv Assekuranz Makler GmbH. "He knows the logistics industry. Our customers can only benefit from his experience of 7 years at IDS Logistik GmbH".

Philipp Stein will particularly take care of transport law and forwarder's liability related matters such as liability and recourse matters, compliance, advice for loss minimization and optimization of forwarding insurance solutions.

Volker Jendricke: "It is our goal to constantly offer our customers more qualified service. Mr. Stein will be the main contact for our customers' questions when it comes to logistics and forwarding agreements".

The Aktiv Assekuranz branch office Saarbruecken celebrated its 25th anniversary in November 2013.

"Our customers are well-known logistics companies and fleet operators from Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, Luxembourg , Hesse and Baden-Wuerttemberg. We still service many customers from the very first days of Aktiv Assekuranz Saarbruecken who appreciate our individual customer support" says Markus Keller who has been branch manager for 13 years now. Our staff members do not only have a professional insurance background, but also a logistics background. That is why we are able to understand the customer's specific needs".

Werner Foerg

Werner Foerg new head of forwarder's liability insurance as of 01 April 2013

Aktiv Assekuranz Makler GmbH / Aktiv insurance brokers, the specialized insurance broker for the transport and logistics industry, has appointed Mr. Werner Foerg (age 56) as a new member of the management team alongside his new position as head of forwarder's liability insurance.

The main task of the former senior executive lies in the strategic alignment as well as the further development of the forwarder's liability line. He will be operating from the Munich based head office.

"Werner Foerg has been a valued employee for many years as well as an expert when it comes to forwarder's liability insurance" says Detlef Doerrié, managing partner of Aktiv Assekuranz Makler GmbH. "His long-time experience in the logistics and insurance sector is the best possible condition for his new task".

Werner Foerg takes over from Volker Jendricke who will be concentrating on his main task as managing director of Aktiv Assekuranz. 


Dr. Stefan Ziffzer

Aktiv AG Dienstleistungen und Beteiligungen extends its management board by appointing Dr. Stefan Ziffzer

As of 01 January 2013, Dr. Stefan Ziffzer is the new member of the management board of the Munich based Aktiv AG insurance brokers group. The former member of the supervisory board will also be the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

As a banker and Diplom-Volkswirt (diploma in economics), Dr. Stefan Ziffzer (age 61) is an acknowledged financial expert and has been responsible for the financial sector in several enterprises and industries for many years.


Winfried Nibus

New face at Aktiv Assekuranz insurance brokers: Winfried Nibus is new head of motor vehicle insurance

Aktiv Assekuranz Makler GmbH, the specialized insurance broker for the transport and logistics industry, welcomes Winfried Nibus as new head of the motor line.

As of January 2013 the 47 year old Nibus changes from AON Versicherungsmakler Deutschland GmbH, Hamburg, to Aktiv Assekuranz Makler GmbH, Munich. Becoming also a new member of the management team, Nibus's main tasks will be the improvement of the strategic alignments as well as the further development of the fleet management program Aktiv Fleet. At the same time, he will be responsible for the key customer support and will take care of new business developments.

Winfried Nibus' last occupation was assisting head of motor line and motor expert at AON insurance broker in Hamburg where he was also in charge for the underwriting of major fleets.
